I went to my url and got the following error message, "The plugin is not found, but an error in the plugin has occured". Could someone tell me what might be causing this problem.
The url is http://www.alloftexas.com/cgi-bin/links/admin/admin.cgi

If you would've saved the file from your web browser, you would've seen the following error message:


This means that you did not set the correct path for the links.cfg file in the require line in the admin.cgi file AND/OR you did not set the correct absolute path values for the $db_script_path variable in the links.cfg file.

The require line in the admin.cgi script should look like the following:


Change /absolute/path/to to the absolute path in your server.

I have changed some things with links.cfg and I still get an error message "The plugin did not initialize properly. Could someone please take a look at this script.

You need to change the path in the admin.cgi script as well...

AGAIN...download the script via your web browser and open it via a text editor to see the error message!

This means that you have not uploaded your edited admin.cgi script. The default paths that come out-of-the-box are still in this particular file.
