Need a dedicated server?

To install Links SQL, i need a dedicated server? OR Regular hosting package with 300MB space and 8000MB bandwidth is not enough?

How many links/categories are you looking at using? Another thing to know, is how much traffic are you looking at at getting to your site each day?

Right now only few links. But i am expecting some 20-30 thousand links in near future . So i need dedicated server?

No, I don't think you need a dedicated server. It would ceartainly be better if you did, but it's not required.

Depends on your activity. 20-30,000 links is a fairly small, barely medium sized directory for Links SQL. If your hosting plan has enough power behind it, you could manage.

It _really_ matters more what sort of activity level you have.

The number of links is more how much storage they give you in the database. It doesn't use any other resources.

Jump.cgi and page.cgi, search.cgi, etc are what will affect your system.
