Windows 98 - Flock error
I am using a Windows 98 PC with WebSite Professional Version 2 and Activestate Perl 5.00503 (Windows version) installed.

When I run http:\localhost\cgi\db.cgi, the log-in screen shows up. I enter user name as guest and password as guest. Then, I see the following error message:-
Error Message : fatal error: flock() unimplemented on this platform at c:/website/cgi-bin/auth.pl line 144.

I go to auth.pl line 144 and see the following sentence:-

Line 144: flock (LOG, 2) unless (!$db_use_flock)

How can I handle it? Is there any other problems you could forsee if I use the above software.

Thanks in advance!

Flock does not work on Windows 98 machines as stated in the default.cfg file.

Set the flock variable to 0 in the default.cfg file.
