OK, I get seeting permissions and all that, but where or how does a user modify and delete their own records...The options don't ever show up at the bottom

They should show up.
Look in your sub html_footer routine. Make sure that you have the appopriate permissions for each link.

My permissions are set up as per the tutorial from the DBMan-ual website, and the html footer is just as it was when I downloaded the dbman file...what is suppossed to be done to it?

Then the problem is with the permission settings in your default.cfg file. Re-read the Permission tutorial at the DBMAN-ual site.
