Is their a way to import the records into DBMan installation? I have a large database table I'd like to start off with. I can pretty much put it in any format, including txt.

Yea...export the database from Excel or Access (making sure that you have the same fields as you define them in the %db_def hash in the default.cfg file). Export the file as a tab delimited text file. Then save the file as default.db (or whatever you want the name of the database to be). Then upload the file to your server.
Make sure that you put the last record number in the default.count file, so that the records will increment properly.
