Default database won't go away

Default database won't go away
I am testing to see if dbman will suit my needs and ran into a problem. I changed the default.cfg so it has the fields that I want but the default fields still appear on all records. Any ideas?

You have to edit the subs in the html.pl file.

You can test out your .cfg file by setting $db_auto_generate=1 before you worry about editing the html.pl file.

IM having a similar problem, but I have edited the html.pl file already. I used JPD's configurator, replaced the default.cfg file and replaced the required sub in html.pl. I replaced default.db with a blank file. When I try to add a record it is giving me an error message about required fields, but they are fields that are no longer there. Any comments appreciated.

When you say you replaced the required sub in your html.pl file did you mean that you replaced both the:

sub html_record_form and sub html_record
portions of the script?

Did you by any chance clear your browser's cache just in case.
