Is there anyway to catagorize the entries in the DB?

DBMan can do nearly anything you'd like it to do however, you have to provide a method for the task to be completed :-)

Do you have categories identified within your default.cfg file to indicate how dbman should categorize the entries?

If you have dbman installed and running, questions on customizing should be posted in that forum. It makes for keeping searches and search results more relevant.
