Heya,

Here's a question that I'm not sure whether it's been answered before.

I would like to be able to add an option to my DBman where people can submit a "Review" for a specific database entry. I know a similar mod has been written for the old version of Links.

Here are some of the thoughts on my mind:

- They should not have to log in to post a review.
- I'd like to be able to limit the number of words allowed in the review.
- It would be nice to be able to sanity check the reviews before they get posted.

Just some thoughts. Any comments or suggestions would be great!

Well, you can look at some of the posts in the other forum to see a response I wrote to someone today. I can't recall the name of it, but it should be towards the top of the list.

It doesn't include "sanity" checking, though. If you can deal with just being sure there aren't any bad words in it, you could use my censor mod.

If I ever get a chance to work on it, I will eventually have something similar on my site, which probably will require users to log in so they can edit their responses. I'm afraid my own database is about 4th or 5th on my list of priorities now, though, and I usually only get to number 3 in a given day.
