There are a lot of PHP CMS scripts available on the net, like PHPNuke, EzContents, Xoops etc.
all of them are really nice & easy to maintain, but I think it's worth to redesign your Links-SQL distribution to be a real CMS (like C4SQL). The GT engine has a lot of advantages than others (stability, mod_perl, etc.) and with a little bit creative ideas is it possible to redesign your category & links table, to be used for more different content (news, jobs images etc). Links-SQL has also the advantage to build your content static that makes your application powerfull f0or very high traffic purposes!
