Hi senior

I wonder if any way to track the mail been received by others or not ?
now i am constantly been told the mail was not received. now i need a
way to know if the mail has been received sucessfully or i will resend the
mail again

In the past i have consider a way to enbed a minor mic in the mail when
someone read the mail, it will call a scripts on my site to record down the
reading activity.

I wonder is there any more effecient way to do this task?

Hi,

The way you suggested is about the only way you could do it. HOWEVER, it won't be fool-proof. You need to know that

1) It will require HTML to be enabled, so you can call the image / script.
2) In cases where people don't have HTML enabled, they will see junk - and in your scripts eyes, it will just assume they never got the email, as the script call was never made.

In short, there isn't really fool-proof way of doing it.

Is this in relation to any GT product, or just generally? If its (for example) to do with users signing up to GLinks, then you could just have a script that goes through, finds users who have been signed up for xx (say 7 days) or less, and if their account isn't validated - resend them a validation email. If they haven't completed the validation after that time, the chances are they don't wanna - so you could then just remove them from your DB :)

Anyway,not sure how much help that will be.

i have that idea in mind for long times but never implement it as almost no mail lost
before. now mail lost has been a severe problem for me
