File Legal Transfer to another server
Hi All,
A little advice, I have a customer wanting to move from my server to another provider.

The new provider has requested all the cgi on the existing server.

Now this is the problem

First off some of the cgi were written by me at a huge discount for the customer and took many hours of work.
Am I required to pass this work over to another to another server and open to be copied as they are written for a specific job?

Second I have DBMAN the old flat file version running a database on the server.
For this to moved the new provider would have to download that from gossamer-threads.com, ok but what about the modifications do I tell him how to make the changes or do I send the mods to him.

A little confused

Any help would great to ensure I get this legally right

Thanks for any help in advance

Hi,

I'm not sure where you stand legally - but in this case I would leave the work for the client. For the FileMan - why not just do a tar.gz of all the files from your server, move them over, decompress, grep the paths? Seems a bit long winded to go and make all the changes again Angelic
