I came across a newspaper article today on a product called "OnSpeed". It claims to be able to boost your internet connection speed by 5x.
I'm sure you've all seen software claiming to boost internet speed, but this seems to be far more genuine. It compresses inbound data so that more can be received at once and then it is instantly decompressed on arrival.
Supposedly a 30kbps dial-up connection can be increased to 300kbps. That's obviously more that 5x but it is what tests have apparently shown.
