Yes, DBMan gets all it's dates from Perl's localtime() function, and will work well past the year 2000.

Line breaks from my textarea fields do not appear when the record is displayed

You have a textarea field on your add form and you add carriage returns to the text, but the text is all on one line when the record is displayed.
