Fileman + Plesk (2.0)
Any one been able to use Fileman v1 with Plesk v2?

Mainly the protected folders? I could not get Fileman to protect files in the cgi-bin folder.. I know Plesk it self has problems with it.... I have done it manually now.. but prefer the way Fileman did it....

anyone?

thanks,

Warp.

Hi,

Most likely it's with how Plesk handles .htaccess files. If you don't get any password protection at all (i.e. no effect), then you need to add 'AllowOverride All' to your httpd.conf in order for the .htaccess files FileMan generates to work.

Cheers,

Alex

thanks,

I have been able to do it the manual way of doing .htaccess files and found a few websites that can generate the password.. (I am not the owner of the box... just a client)

You can generate the password from ssh:

Type:

htpasswd

I am running fileman 2.0 on Plesk 2.0 it installed just fine. But was unable to edit files. I read thru the forums and found that I needed to change the order of a couple of lines in the Commands.pm file. I had to move line 918 to line 915.
