the NPH problem
I am not a whiz at too much of anything, but I have installed links 2.0 extended from mycgiscripts.com on an NT server and everything seems to be working ok until I build the pages themselves.
this is the error message I get:(this is step 4 on a staggered build)

Step: Updating Home/New/Cool Pages

CGI ERROR
==========================================
Error Message : fatal error: Can't find unicode character property definition via main->a or a.pl at unicode/Is/a.pl line 0

Script Location : E:\WWW\casinoauthority.com\cgi-bin\links\admin\nph-build.cgi
Perl Version : 5.006

this is a verbatim cut and paste from the page.
what is wierd is that when I view nph-build.cgi, it contains no code....it is an empty file. Odd huh?

Oh wait, the nph-build.cgi is in two locations! one is in the admin/templates directory and contains no code and the other is in the admin directory and has it's code intact...hmmmm?

can anyone lend me a hand here?
thanks,
Bobby

Probably a minor thing, but it looks like you have you /'s and \'s confused in links.cfg.

E:\WWW\casinoauthority.com\html\html\pages/index.html

You see to only have one forward slash, and the rest backslashes Wink

Why the hell have you posted a thread duplicating your posts in the thread about 3 down from here. Myself AND Andy already told you what the problem is!

thank you for your help....you rude, arrogant, code monkey.
The thread you are referring to I began before adding my question to this one. I appreciate the help though and will let you know if you have found my error.

So asking why you posted a duplicate question makes me rude and arrogant?....nope I don't think so. Calling me rude and arrogant makes you the one who is rude and arrogant...go figure.

Anyway I've had enough stress to last me a life time over the past few weeks so I'm going to walk away.....

I think you misinterpreted the expression of my post which is understandable due to the impersonal nature of forums...

I didn't mean:

"What the hell are you doing posting a duplicate you stupid fool"

I meant...

"Why do you need to post another thread when we answered in the other one"

Sorry if you minconstrued my intentions.
