Installation Woes!
Can someone help me with these error messages that I keep getting. I've checked my permissions and I think they're right. What else could be the problem? This is the error message I keep receiving:

Error including libraries: Can't locate e:virtualhostswildstylerecords.cominksi-bindmininks.cfg in @INC (@INC contains: e:/virtualhosts/wildstylerecords.com/www/links/cgi-bin/admin D:\perl\lib D:\perl\site\lib .) at e:/virtualhosts/wildstylerecords.com/www/links/cgi-bin/admin/admin.cgi line 27.

Make sure they exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly.

Here's what my links.cfg file looks like:

Change the following variable:

Code:
$db_script_path = "e:\virtualhosts\wildstylerecords.com\www\links\cgi-bin\admin";

to the following:

Code:
$db_script_path = "e:/virtualhosts/wildstylerecords.com/www/links/cgi-bin/admin";

Then change the following variable:

Code:
$build_root_path = "e:\virtualhosts\wildstylerecords.com\www\links\pages";

to the following:

Code:
$build_root_path = "e:/virtualhosts/wildstylerecords.com/www/links/pages";

If these changes do not work, then you need to verify your CORRECT ABSOLUTE PATH with your Hosting Company.

I talked to my hosting company & verified the correct path, made some changes and it still doesn't work. Do you see anything else that's wrong?

Thanks AnthroRules for the tip to change the \ to / in the links.cfg file! I spent about an hour trying to figure this out thinking the problem was with Perl.

It is a problem with Perl...If you use the backslash, Perl interprets that as an escape character veruses the forward slash, which is interpreted as a directory character.

Wink

Glad you figured it out.
