How do I get Links to work on the Apache Win32 version 1.3.6?
I have Apache Win32 version 1.3.6 installed on my Windows 98 system. I have no Perl or anything whatsoever. The documentation from Apache is not helping in Perl and CGI. How can I get Links to work?

You need to install Perl to get it to work. You can get a copy of ActivePerl for Win32 from http://www.ActiveState.com/ActivePerl/ .

I hope this helps.

I know that you have to install ActiveState Perl for Win32. But where? in ../Apache/bin or ../Apache/htdocs or ../Apache/???

Alex

P.S. Thanks for such a quick reply.

When you run the install program, it will prompt you for a location to do the install or allow you to use the default. Where you put it is not really important, it will work where ever it is installed. There is even a doc file (in html) that will help you in configuring it for use with Apache (or is that configuring Apache for use with ActivePerl?). It does not have to be installed in the Apache directory tree at all.

I hope this helps.
