Libraries Error
I got some error after trying to install the Links v2.0.

The error message was: "Error including libraries: Can't locate /cgi-bin/links/admin/db.pl at admin.cgi line 28. Make sure they exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly."

I checked the db.pl file and it was already uploaded.

This is the links.cfg file:

Code:

Are you sure that these are the full paths to your scripts, use something like perldriver to define your paths.

Download it from here and run it via your browser, this will list all your paths etc.

Too right Stu. I know fort a FACT that they are not the right paths, because I have had to do several installs on NetFirms servers, and they are about 7 or 8 directories long....best bet is to recheck. OR post the lib error you get, as this usually holds the path (if you cant see it, we will try and find it in the error message for you).

Hope that helps Smile

I still can't fint the correct paths for my CGI and WWW directory. I have installed the Perl Diver and the url us: http://www.acxonline.netfirms.com/cgi-bin/perldiver.cgi. Could you guys get me the correct path directory and how to type it in the followings:

$db_script_path

$build_root_path

And here is the lib error message:

Error including libraries: Can't locate /cgi-bin/links/admin/db.pl at admin.cgi line 28. Make sure they exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly.

Thanks for your help.

You need to use _full_ server paths in links.cfg.

Thanks a lot!! Its working now. By the way I just know that I can use only the $ENV{'DOCUMENT_ROOT'} for the root paths. But thanks to you guys very much.
