links 2 with DBman style fields?

links 2 with DBman style fields?
Is it possible to modify links2 so it can be used as a directory of detailed info like - company name, address, phone, fax url, etc.,
rather than just a links+description. The reasons for this is it seems to be easier to use for subcategories than DBman....?

As we have already told you in your other LINKS/DBMAN related Threads...yes, it is possible.

There used to be a Mod called HomePageMaker that provides additional codes....

But all you really have to do is the following:

1) Un-require the URL field.
2) Add your own custom fields (discussed A LOT in the Links 2.0 Forums).
3) Use the DETAILED PAGE option (also discussed A LOT in the forums).

Good luck...hope this resolves your issues since this is about the fifth redundant Thread you've posted in the forums!

READ the following Threads:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...200&Old=allposts

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...200&Old=allposts

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...200&Old=allposts

Found them in FIVE minutes...by actually reading the Threads in the
result pages!

NEXT time, DO NOT use the forum search form default options!
Select MORE than ONE MONTH and MORE than 25 hits to find threads!
And actually take the time to READ the Threads in the result pages
rather than relying on the TITLE of the Threads for answers!

Also, the following web page should sum up your question:
