Okay, how many days of backups is recommended to keep and can I just delete old backups?

I normally keep about 4-5 builds worth and also keep a copy on my local pc. That way you should be free from disaster.

I keep all backup files stored locally on my home computer hard drive and also copies on external storage devices (ZIP disks and tape). That way, I can go back and get whatever data I need.
