a new question on RaQ

a new question on RaQ
I have updated all of the nph files including commenting out the proper line in nph-email.cgi.

I am sending from my sendmail at ahfb2000.com, when attempting to send everything goes fine as long as it is not a ahfb2000.com addy that is being sent to.

It is not a problem with the webmaster&ahfb2000.com account.
why will it send to another domain but not within itself?

So you mean that you can send to e-mails that don't have your domain name in it (for the newsletter etc), but if it does they don't get sent? Is this what you meaned or did i get it all wrong? Cool

lets say you come add a link, I should then receive an email stating a link is awaiting validation. I do not get any emails thru my ahfb2000.com domain if I change the links cfg to my hotmail account it works.

This is not happening with links awaiting validation, anything that should send the webmaster an emailo will only work with offsite domains.

It is not an email problem, I use webmaster@ahfb2000.com and sales @... all day long without a problem.

Most likely reasons......

You have either set the wrong path to sendmail or the wrong path to your smtp server in links.cfg - or mistyped your email address.

We can eliminate a wrong path to sendmail, because it sends to my hotmail acct.

While it is usually the obvious being overlooked, you can rest assured a wrong email addy is not the case here.

I never had this problem until I moved to the raq/cobalt server, so my money is on that. But again I did make the modifications correctly to the nph files and have done them over and over and over......

Although the problem is not solved you folks are helping me to narrow down the cause.

We know it is not a problem with:

path to sendmail
wrong email address
raq/cobalt servers

which leaves:
everyone.net
?
?

Anybody with any clues as to other possible causes, or if it could be a problem with everyone.net? Remember The email acct does work, it just will not receive form links script.

Ugh....I can't stand everyone.net - they had big problems with their email system in the past so it is most likely them if everything else looks and works ok.

I hope it is with them. I had a phone conversation with the folks at BMB last night and am considering changing, I wish I could find an email provider that allows headers and footers, would be nice to make it a little more customizable.

Thanks for all your help,

Dave
