Why page messed up using javascript option?
Hi!

My website at http://suntan.virtualave.net/pages/ is behaving weirdly.

If I view it with Netscape 4.61 (javascript off) it displays perfectly, fitting in nicely into the 800x600 screen area. But when I turn javascript on (under preference) the display extends beyond the screen area and I have to scroll left to right and back to view the file.

Also the color scheme changes to something that's contrary to the colors that I've stipulated in the html codes.

Could someone be kind enought to visit and let me know how to solve the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Donna

Well, this is simply because of the links.css.

Hello Eddie!

Thanks.

So how do I solve the problem?

What do I have to modify or delete?

TIA

Donna

That is odd.

Javascript on, Style Sheets off = normal display.

Javascript on, Style Sheets on = weird display.

Javascript off, Style Sheets on = normal display.

Javascript off, Style Sheets off = normal display.

Why would the style sheets do that only when both javascript and style sheets are turned on, especially when there is no javascript on the page? That's a new one on me.

Yeap, exactly. Without links.css the page looks neat. Well Tia, this is a first case with a weird on and off problem. What I suggest you to do is that just take off the
<link rel=stylesheet href="http://suntan.virtualave.net/pages/links.css" type="text/css" title="Oo-la-la Oo-la-ri style sheet"> in your templates if you are using them or site_html.pl if you are not using templates. Hope this helps.
