Really Serious Problem.....
1. I install Links 2.
2. I log in to the admin interface.
3. I add a category named "somecat". The default id is set to "2". I leave it as a "2".
4. I add a link to that category named "somelink". The default id is "3". I leave it as a "3".

Now the error begins :
1. I click on "Check Cat.", and I got this error message :

Check Categories

Warning!

You have some links in your links database that are associated with a category that does not exist! You can either:

Add this category to the database.
Delete all links with this non-existant category.
Move all links into a new existing category.
Note: a maximum of 10 listings are displayed at a time.

Add Delete Category Move links to this existing Category
somecat ---somecat.

All this is completely stupid because I choose a valid cat. when I added the link!

I try the option "move" and select the "somecat" category and then click the "update categories", I come to a page telling me :
The database was successfully updated!

BUT when I go back to the page (check cat.) I got the same error!!!!!

I then test with "delete" and I got the following cgi error :

CGI ERROR

Error Message : Error building! Links database is 0 bytes!

I then chose tha last option "add" and the same problem. I got "The database was successfully updated!" but then when I go back to the "check cat." page I always got the same error!!!

When I after this try to modify the "somelink" link, It is written "Yes" in the ID field instead of "3". And the "isNew" field that was turned on when I added the link is now turned off! ???????
When I try modify another time I got "No" in the "ID" field. Same for the "isNew" field that was turned on when I added the link is now turned off!
What's all this??????

Finally when I click the "build all" button, I got this :

Try to check your folder permissions once again. Obviously your database got corrupted as well. Upload a new links.db and add some links.
