fatal error: invalid date format
fatal error: invalid date format: 1-Jun-99 - parsed as (day: 1, month: 5, year: -1801). Reason: Can't handle date (0, 0, 0, 1, 5, -1801) at /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/links/cgi-bin/admin/links.cfg line 163

Hi Massbru,

This is because you placed your script in the public_html/links/cgi-bin/
dir instead of public_html/cgi-bin/
Scripts can only run in the default cgi-bin dir, public_html/cgi-bin/, in
the new servers.

looks like the script ran just fine, minus the fatal error.

Secondly:
The problem is most likely due to your version of Perl. There is a problem with the Time modules in *I think* Perl 5.6

I changed my cgi directory, my build still fails. The administrator of my server emailed me this message on the same subject:

I am not able to debug your script. There maybe adjustions needed in your time script. You can post your query here

As Junko mentioned, there are problems with Links2 and perl 5.006. Search the Links2 forums for "perl 5.006" and "invalid date" and you will find an answer.

Also why did you reply to your own message?

Paul,

I left the email from the server administrator. I thought his suggestion would solve the problem.

Is there another way to leave a message on a thread other than by a reply? I'm a novice on this forum.

Not sure, seems like the edit feature is present on my posts, but after a day or so it is no longer there... Haven't paid that much attention to it...
