Couple of problems...
I've been using Links 2.0 for quite a while now. It worked great at first, but I've been through server move after server move, so I'm guessing somewhere something got messed up...

The first problem I'm having is sometimes when I try to go to the admin pages and/or when I try to "Build All", it will prompt me to download a the file, or complain about not having access to db.pl or db_utils.pl. I reuploaded both of those files from my original zip file and chmod them both to 777, but that doesn't seem to help.

The 2nd problem I'm having is whenever I go to my links pages and try to go to a site listed, it either gives me an internal server error, takes me to the wrong site, or occasionally wll take me to the right site.

If anyone could give me some help to fix these problems it would be greatly appreciated. Below is my links.cfg file just incase that will help.

Thanks, Brian

Hi...all you should need to edit is;

# Paths and URL's to Important Stuff
# --------------------------------------------------------
# PATH and URL of Admin CGI directory. No Trailing Slash.
$db_script_path = "/home/virtual/site1/fst/var/www/perl/links/admin";
$db_dir_url = "http://plurplanet.com/perl/links/admin";

# URL of User CGI directory. No Trailing Slash.
$db_cgi_url = "http://plurplanet.com/perl/links";

# PATH and URL of Pages to be built. No Trailing Slash.
$build_root_path = "/home/virtual/site1/fst/var/www/html/links/pages";
$build_root_url = "http://plurplanet.com/links/pages";

Then, your other problem sounds like a CHMOD problem. Make sure that you have the folders appropriatly set. EXACTLY what error does it give you? When you originally setup the script, did you have to edit any of the .cgi scripts in order to make it work? Could be you have an old path entered in there still....

Hope that helps Smile
