nph-build.cgi problem
Hi

I wonder if anyone can help. I have just moved an Links 1.11 system over to a new hosting company, after the last one complained that the scripts were causing server CPU problems.

Anyway, I have installed the Links 1.11 files, and have tried to build.

The process starts but stops building at Updating Current Rating and Votes...

Build details below.

Anyway got any ideas on this.

Alex, Bobsie, anyone????

Can anyone tell me why the building process stops.

It all worked fine until I moved over to a new server, and now the building stops, even within Telnet

This is quite important, as I have had my site up 12 months and put alot of work into it

The problem i am facing is that everyone seems to forget Links 1.11, though my site was working fine under it.

Martin,

No one is forgetting Links v1.1, however, this is the Links Modification Forum where mods for Links (any version) are discussed. Your inquiry pertains to a problem in the installation and should rightfully go in the appropriate Links Installation forum.

Notwithstanding, your problem sounds like a script timeout to me and, if it is, it can only be resolved by your ISP since they determine how long processes run. If you have a large database, then the script is timing out before you can get all the data read. I suggest you contact the ISP about this to see if there is a remedy. It wouldn't be a Links error, since it worked on the old system.
