URL Too Long?

URL Too Long?
I was wondering if anybody could help me. I tried to add some url's in my database, but it says that the URL's are too long...can anybody please tell me how to edit this so that the urls can go in no matter if they are 75 characters in length?

in links.def change the 75 in

URL => [2, 'alpha', 40, 75, 1, 'http://', '^http|news|mailto|ftp'],

to a higher number
