translate.cgi and mylinks.cgi - where?
Hello,

I have searched the whole forums about the translate.cgi and mylinks.cgi but still can't find them. Where exactly the mods and the documentation reside? Any help will be very appreciated, thank you.

Best regards,
Kay

Hi Dan and Lavon,

I've just know recently that there's also any searching function in this board. I've searched manually before, stupid me Smile Thank you so much for the all suggestion guys, you're the man.

Kay

For translate.cgi, go to the resource center and go to the version 2.0 modifications section on Links. Click on the "Block common search terms" link and there a guy has a bunch of mods he has made/modified and translate.cgi is there.

For mylinks.cgi, i think that is Widgetz personal script that he made for his site only, i think. If you find it, post it please!

God bless!

Mylinks isn't personal for widgetz, since i and some others have it on their site. It has no documentation, because its in a thread. You'll just have to read closely.

Translate.cgi is at my site

I don't know how hard you searched for mylinks but i found it in 20 seconds, by searching for "mylinks"

Your mileage may vary: the search function on this board leaves something to be desired. Not that you shouldn't try to search Wink

Has anyone integrated MyLinks into Jerry's search sort mod? Could lead to some interesting results... like the compare these selected products on C|Net. Hmmm...

were you able to install search sort? Smile

i didn't give much instructions..

anyways.. it's rather simple.. you just have to add in all those variables.. build_sorthit is the main pain of the search sort mod..

That's my next project... of course, I want to complicate the issue by keeping the regular search (and link output) as well. The search sort plus Mylinks, as I hinted, would become part of a new compare links function.

Do you mean, with the search sort mod, you want to be able to also say sorty by MyLinks or whatever links, and their saved links get put up to the top?

The idea is to enable users to select which links they want more information on, and then compare them side-by-side. Take a look at the following link to see what I will implement...
