links2 users guide/manual
Does a users guide or manual exist for this EXTREMELY powerful program? The documentation is a little lacking for a newbie (at least this one! :) ) Is there anywhere that outlines what each file does in this package and how to do basic/common things with it?

This might be fairly useful to people. I know that I would like it as a reference.

I suggest you to read the posts at the forum, you can find more info about links 2.0 here than in a manual, i was a newbie too when i installed links 2.0 in my site, and after searching and reading the posts in this forum, i have added some great mods and made some changes to links.

I whole-heartedly agree that this forum is an incredible resource! Some of the people here, including Alex of course are brilliant. I have no doubt that I will continue to use it as issues arrise.

My problem is that I am having difficulty in integrating database results seamlessly into the design of my site. I want to do something like http://www.free4u2.com and can't seem to figure out how. I have set-up the script with its default appearance, but want something similar to the above site in terms of integrating the database into an existing site design.

I have tried searching these forum archives and can't seem to find anything. My problem is rather basic and I can't seem to get started with this.

If someone could help, I would be eternally grateful!
Thanks ;)

Isn't there a readme file that covers this? Anyway, links is set-up very slick......pretty much everything is template based, which means all you need to do is modify a few files to change "the look" of your site. There is a folder called templates and the files you need to change are located in that folder. Look for link.html, category.html, home.html, etc. Links also uses tags <%tags%> to call/place data within your pages, so look through all the .html files and place these tags where you want the information to appear on your site!
