index.html
hi, i would like to have my site's main index.html file to recognize the terms (e.g. <%term%>) so that whenever someone types in my URL, i wouldn't need to forward him anywhere else. is there a way to 'connect' my index.html file to Links so that basically it becomes one of the templates? i tried reading the FAQ's about building new templates but the link is dead. can anyone repost that too? thanks a lot in advance.:-)

thanks, but that didn't do it. you see, when you type in a domain, it automatically tries to read the index.html file located in your root folder, which isn't in the cgi-bin folder like the other templates. so my question is, how does a file OUTSIDE the cgi-bin folder be read as a template so that it can recognize the different tags (e.g. <%grand_total>)?

Uh...it is the home.html file that you need to edit and if you point to the correct ROOT directory for your $build_root_path and $build_root_url, then you will be able to use <%term%> in your site's homepage.

Hm...I should probably add that as an optional step in the instructions for that FAQ.
