Hi All.

Well, to get to the point of what I am looking for...

I have a number of people working on the 'category' section. (I'm just getting them setup) However, I'd like to be able to control things a little bit. Mainly, I'd just like to be able to know "who" and "when" they are coming into the 'Admin' section and working. This will help me track down problems a little quicker... so I'm not raggin on someone that doesn't deserve it!

So, does anybody know of a good way to be able to moniter who has logged into the admin section and when?

As it is, I have the admin section under a protected directory on my server. I just created a general Username & password. (does unix log this automatically? can I get it from a server side log?)

Or, do I need to impliment a third-party script? And if so... anybody want to recommend one?

I have never seen logs of .htaccess attempts on my server. It would be a piece of cake to modify admin_html.pl to write to an admin.log file....

IPADDRESS validated record XX on DATE
IPADDRESS modified category XX on DATE
... etc.

If I have time today, I will whip up this mod, but I'm pretty busy with other projects right now.

OK, that was stupid... access logs do indeed record .htaccess logins, giving you the IP, time and user. Doh! I found this utliity to summarize htaccess information...
