Modifying Ceglobe yahoo Temple
Please any body can help.
Please Eliot we have links 2.0 with yahoo template of the Ceglobe. We tried to modify the links in it we couldn't.
Please note that the template we use is not in the template directory it is the one in the directory of the built pages. It always appears when we achieve a build command from the admin.cgi, it seems that the Ceglobe always builds it. Somebody told us previously that all the links in the home page and what's new, what's cool, ..etc can be modified from one file.
Please help.

The person who told you that you could change the templates from one file is correct. I think you need to edit site_html_templates.pl. This can be complicated, so maybe you would be better off with using the templates. There is an option in links.cfg that allows you to specify if you are using templates or the site_html_templates.pl files.... Hope this answers your question, if not i'm sure someone else would be more than happy to answer it LOL.

wewe,

Do you have a line at the very top of site_html_templates.pl looks like the following?

require "$db_lib_path/templates.cfg";

If is yes then you might have edit that file which is located in your admin directory and the file is called called templates.cfg

I hope this gives you a clue.

In order for changes to occur in TEMPLATE files, you need to have all the TEMPLATE files in the templates directory as discussed and addressed two to three times in the past two weeks in this forum and the Links 2.0 Installation Forum.

Modifying Links2.0 name In reply to
Thank you everybody for your help.
I did work using your advices and everything is working properly.
However, I have another question, How can I change Links2.0 name to be for example intrasearch or what ever? Do I have to change all the files names or what?
Please help.

Do you mean the title on all the generated pages? If so there is a variable in links.def to do this. The line you need to find is;

$html_title = 'Links Database';

Replace 'Links Database' with the title of your site...

Hope this helps

Can anybody tell me how to let links 2.0 opens a new page when clicking on a link in the homepage? It always open the new page in the same page. Can change that?
Thanks.

If you are using templates, just edit the link.html template and in your < a href= tags, add target="new" example: <a class="link" href="<%db_cgi_url%>/jump.cgi?ID=<%ID%>" Target="New">
