Keyword logger problem

Keyword logger problem
Hi I'm looking at installing the keyword logger for someone but have a problem:

I've changed the build extensions in links.cfg so ie. index.shml is the home page.

I've checked keywords.txt and the words are being logged.

My problem is when using keywords1.cgi or keywords2.cgi they just display no search terms logged in the drop down box.

I used the exact ssi commands and instructions as specified.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be gratefull, cheers.

Good Luck!

Glenn

I think I had the same problem with this awhile ago...... Change the name of keywords1.txt to keywords.cgi and then just call it from your browser: http://mir.spaceports.com/~glennu/keywords.cgi ----- it should work. But, maybe you already tried that?

Cheers for the advice, but yeah I had already tried that.

Doesn't matter too much now cause I found an alternative to using keywords.cgiSmile

Good Luck!

Sorry no can do, I was doing an install for a paying client. I think it would be a bit unfair to do the work and then just post it in the forums.

Also I should mention mpoll is and was probably the last mod I'll be posting for a long while.

This due to the following;

It can be quite time consuming writing the instructions and constantly making alterations. The more mods you release/post the worse it gets.
I have been getting too many inapropriate emails and private messages.
Due to lack of time etc.. I have started to get clumsy in some of my instructions etc...
It gets harder maintaining and updating existing stuff.
I spent ages on comments 2 and am exhausted! Plus even then there's bits of comments 2 eg. typos that had I not been so busy I probably would have altered.

It's not to say that I won't post anything else, it's just I need a break from that side of things for a while. I think it's better to do this and have alittle more time to spend answering a few questions in the forum.

I'm sorry!

Good Luck!

Glenn

Glenn,

I hope that all my posts didn't add to your stress and burning out. We non-perl people really do appreciate what you did and all the work you put in.

I hope that this isn't out of place but, take the time off and enjoy your studying for a while, burning out and blowing off steam in the wrong places doesn't seem your style and would hate to see that happen on top of it.

a really big thanks for everything you've personally done for me, and many others.

grab a beer and watch a few flicks and "hehehe" like the rest of us forget about exams until the night before.

cheers mate
