Can anyone tell me can links2.0 work with FrontPage 2000? How???
People have discussed this MANY times in the Discussion Forum...Compatible is quite an illusive concept. In terms of the C++ tags (e.g., <%mytag%> ), Front Page does NOT do a good job with these tags.

Hi Tim!
I use FP2000 to develop my site and I have had no problems with it.
What Elliot is talking about has been overcome in FP2000 because you can set the editor to leave the html exactly as it is.
Some others have had some other problems with FP2000 when FTP the files, but this has not happened with me, as I do everything live on my site. Meaning I log on or into my site using FP2000 and change whatever.
My hosting service gave me a test site as well.
Hope this helps.

Hi;
Thanks for your help. I will use the FrontPage to check it out. But I think this is a convinient way to make your site alive. I may needed your help more on this issue.
I checked out your website. That's nice website. I am doing the same thing you are doing on your website too. Churches Directory. this is what I am doing http://www.tulsavbc.org

Hi Ian Conza ;
I see that I can use frontpage with links 2.0. However I got a question for you, if you don't mind to answer. Okay, when I use the frontpage to open web, then edit the index.shtml (main page) then save it. It turns out okay, however, it change the Chmod permission of every index.shtml file in the server. So when I use the links administrator to Build the page it says that permission is denied. So I have to use ftp to go back to the server and change every index.shtml in to 666.
My question is that I can I still use the frontpage 2000, and edit the main page or any page and save it with 666 permission?
Because I know that links2.0 works only with html file in 666.

What you do is create the template files and upload it to your templates directory. Change the permission of the files to 666 via FTP. Then you can edit those files and upload them to the templates directory.
