I wonder if anybody has an idea about the condition of "http://www.hypermart.net/" on the hosting of "Links 2.0" driven "search engines".

That is;

Does "http://www.hypermart.net/" provide enough service and utilities to run "Links 2.0" cgi.

Thanks a lot for contributions to this quest.
(I asked to them, but "unfortunately" and "strangely" they don't have a real idea on this subject)

Hi there subcat:

Hypermart DOES have all the capabilities to host Links 2.0 driven sites. That is they have cgi, ssi, sendmail etc...

But on the downside, their TOS (which you have to agree to when you sign up) PROHIBITS the use of Links 2.0 on a Hypermart hosted site. If they catch you using it, they will delete your account WITHOUT notice.

you could always try http://www.virtualave.net

they're virtually the same as hypermart in what they offer in capability.

Actually, I have been with Hypermart for a while with the script installed and they haven't said anything. But, I am a also a premium member. They have even gone to my site before and they surfed around for like 30 minutes! Very strange. Well anyway you can see the site in action right now by going to http://www.wsresource.com/ .

you have to get reported to the tos. which is actually a hypermart newsgroup.. the odds are low if your site is not well publicized..
