A "simple" line break? Help!

A "simple" line break? Help!
Hi folks,
I have spent my entire day trying to make a line space in the Search Results page, and it still isn't working.
On my Search Results page, I want an extra line space inserted above and below the categories that are interspersed with the links listings.
(Page is at www.geeknoize.com/audio_links, and you must enter username:betageek, password:test, then run a search for the word "test" to see the layout)

These cat heads are being generated by the search.cgi file and do not appear in the templates. I have tried adding <p> and <br> to the output of search.cgi, and also had a good suggestion from Eliot for some code to add, however so far what happens is that the break occurs in the middle of the cat heads instead of before or after.

In search.cgi I have tried:
$output .= qq|<br><A HREF="$build_root_url$path/">$dir</A>:|;

And:
$output .= qq|<A HREF="$build_root_url$path/">$dir</A><br>:|;

As well as:

foreach $dir ((split m!/!, $input)) {
$path .= "/$dir";
$dir = &build_clean ($dir);
$output .= qq|<p>|;
$output .= qq|<A HREF="$build_root_url$path/">$dir</A>:|;

Result is the same for all, it breaks the cat heads onto 2 lines, between the main cat head and sub head, instead of adding space above and below the entire line, which is what I need.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!!
-V

If you want a space use <p>.

I did use <p> in the third example above, where I tried adding the line
$output .= qq|<p>|;
The space occurs in the middle of the cat head instead of before or after...
I know how to create a line break, but can't find where tp insert it into the search.cgi file so that the headings break correctly...

I guess you are Thread happy today! Smile You really should keep similar topics in the same Thread....

Okay...Try these codes:

Code:
$link_results .= qq|<P>$title_linked|;

This can be found in the sub main routine in your search.cgi file.

I really hope this helps.
