Is there an easy way to intergate LinkSQL with either drupal or Joomla?

What do you mean by "integrate"? :) If you mean having a central login system for them both, thats not too easy (would need a custom plugin)

I see there is already a plugin for wordpress would it be that tricky to port that to joomla or preferably joomla. n yes ;)

Yeah, the Wordpress one doesn't really work any more (they changed a load of the settings around).

There is a vBulletin_Auth plugin still I believe (from GT), which could probably be hacked to do what you needed (not sure how much they charge for it though)
