Hi,

I don't have a date for you yet unfortunately, but it should be pretty soon. The new version of Gossamer Mail is a complete overhaul, much like the difference between Links SQL 1 and Links SQL 2, and it will be worth the wait.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex:

I don't have Gossamer Mail yet, but I am thinking about purchasing it to run at KaaZoo.com. If I get the current version, will the upgrade to the new version at a later date be difficult?

I belive that with the integrated Perl modules that they are developing to work across all SQL based GT apps, it will be easier to install and customize in the newer version.

In terms of upgrading, if you notice that there have been some bugs with upgrading from earlier BETAs of LINKS SQL to the "stable" version, you might want to consider holding off until the new version is out.

But Alex and GT staff would know best which approach would be the most efficient.

Eliot Lee

Hi,

We haven't yet begun on the upgrade script to move people from Gossamer Mail 1 => 2, however there are a number of significant changes. We will be providing an upgrade script to handle the move. Also, it looks like the templates will need to get updated as well.

We are hoping to put a beta out for licensed users on monday, possibly earlier, so you may want to wait for that.

Cheers,

Alex
