First off I just want to say thanks to the Gossamer Team.

BUG: If you signup for a new account and don't enter a correct email address on section 1 of the signup...it does not say and error...thus if you enter an invalid email address...it will attempt to send an email to that invalid address.

I have installed the new beta version, and now the first problem:
I would like to sign up a new user, everything is filled out up to the third step. But now the following message is shown:
testa@xxx.de is an invalid format.
I have tried some usernames, but it is always the same.

Please could you help me?

Have a nice day

i'm guessing the problem is your domain name ".de"

Re: Beta 1 Released! In reply to
Have set it up on local computer to test...AWESOME!
I had no install problem at all.

(Allthough I had a problem after install with saving e-mail templates in Mass Mail..new templates is not shown in the drop down box)

The message field of new mail arrived should have a cellspaceing of 2 or more, so that the text is not glued into the left side, I think...But that I can of course fix myselves. Otherwise the template is nice.

Nice work! I look forward to official relase (hopefully not to far away... :)

Regards,
Are

Some feedback...

Some pages seem to not use the header template as default as most pages does.

Like when composing a new message, or switching to html mode some places.

This release had more than I expected of features! Nice.

Hi Alex, I am having the same problem too -

I am using the domain mi5.ca and when I signup it says.....

paul@mi5.ca is an invalid format.

Can this be easily fixed?

It works fine from the admin area.

I have tried it with a com domain. It is the same problem.

And another mysterious thing:
I have created a user as admin. Logged in, fine.
The user has defined a pop3 remote account with option "Leave Messages on Remote Server". The a click to check email loads 14 of 68 messages. The 14 are saved but the rest is lost. And no more mail is on the remote server.

Please could you check this?

Hi Alex,

some monthes before we have spoken about a mail-search function. I have not found anything. Is it somewhere, and I am blind?

Or do you plan it for the final version?

Hi,

I think this is a problem with foreign chars in the mail headers. Can you edit GT/Mail/Parts.pm around line 794 and replace:

my $out = '';
GT::Mail::Parse->decode_base64 (\$str, \$out);
return $out;

with:

return GT::Mail::Parse::decode_base64 ($str);

and see if it works?

Cheers,

Alex

Would it be possible to email me a URL to the admin where I can see this error: 'testa@xxx.de is an invalid format.'?

Thanks!

Re: Beta 1 Released! - sign up problem In reply to
will the templates for version 1 be compatible with version 2?

I ask this because I am planing on spending some time editing the templates and am wondering if it is worth it.

Thanks.

As Alex has said, the new version is a complete re-write so I expect the answer will be no but Alex will confirm either way.

They are making an upgrade script however but I think that is more to do with existing data rather than templates.
