Internal Server Errors with 2.0.6
Hi
I have just done a new install of GM. I am getting internal server errors when trying to login.

Please check your error log. There is not much anyone can do with this type of error without knowing more.

ummm...
I just put the Debug Level to 1. Everything works, no errors.
Take the level off and back to the Internal server errors..

Does that help?

Ok.. That doesn't make a difference at all.
It is being very sporadic.
It works one minute.. You log out.. Then you get the server error when you try to login again. If you refresh the screena few times it will let you in.
Strange

Like Paul said, there is really know way to know what's going on uless we can see the errors from the log. Can you post the errors in your error log here? I will download it and install it later myself to see if I get any errors.

Charlie

ok. the problem has something to do with the email being required or not.
I think the reason I was getting server errors was because earlier I had turned the email require to no.
Any signups after that were fine. All those beofre are getting errors...

But now...
When trying to signup with email req set to no, the demographics page works fine. The page that wants a username and password will now loop. indefinately.

Hmmm any ideas on this one?

The error log could be stored anywhere... Ask the system administrator for help there.
If it's your own server, check your httpd configuration to see where you told it to store them. For apache, you can check your httpd.conf for the line which contains ErrorLog. There should be something like:
Quote:
#
# ErrorLog: The location of the error log file.
# If you do not specify an ErrorLog directive within a <VirtualHost>
# container, error messages relating to that virtual host will be
# logged here. If you *do* define an error logfile for a <VirtualHost>
# container, that host's errors will be logged there and not here.
#
ErrorLog /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log
Hope this helps.

I am also getting the 500ISE error on login unless I set the Debug Level to 1, in which case everything functions normally. Unfortunately, for "performance reasons" my host doesn't keep error logs, so I can't be very helpful on that front. But I would greatly appreciate it if anyone happens to find a miracle cure for the problem. :)

TIA.
