Non-Frames Version Development

Non-Frames Version Development
Hi all!

It is my goal to develop a non-frames version of Gossamer-Mail since it is not available yet. Before I start on this mission, is anyone else attempting the same thing? (or has anyone else DONE this?). No reason to re-invent the wheel if it has already been done.

I know Gossamer is working on it, but they had no date of release.

Envisioning a long weekend of programming... :)

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the bug fixes, we will fix that up asap.

As for the non frames version, we should have the wap version available in a couple days (which is obviously non framed). Our other designer working on the html non frames version hasn't been able to spend that much time on it, so it's been push backed.

What I would recommend is use the simple templates, and just add a navigation element somewhere. That should be a good base to a non frames version.

Let me know if you run into any problems.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi

I like the Postaci interface... http://www.trlinux.com/...

Look at the screenshots, very nice.

I have just got Gossamer Mail up and running for testing so far, and one thing I would like to see is just a Non-Frames-out-of-the-box like Postaci...The current default is hard to program to fit my noe-design troughout my pages.

A default design like Postaci looks good, and make a header.txt call it would take 10 seconds(or something) to have a functional working template. With frames, I donīt too good at that..
.
I havenīt look much at the other easy template, but I think itīs frame based to.

Just some suggestions for future mailprojects.

Hi Are,

Thanks for the feedback. We still have non frames templates in the work. The simple ones are quite easy to switch to non frames, just basically add a header and a footer with the navigation options and you are done.

Cheers,

Alex

Matt, how are you doing with the project ? Are you willing to share the Non-Frames templates?
