Error when UserID is the same as a previous one.
Hi,

I'm opening a new thread since the other one is closed.

I ran the update and I still have the problem when the userid exist.

Could you post the lines to be fixed in the forum?

Thanks.

Hi All,

After installing the update.... I do not get the above USER ID error anymore.:)

but.... (and I am assuming it was my install) I get this error now when sending mail from GM.

-----------------------------------------------
Content-type: text/html

Software error:

write-open
/usr/home/cooee/html/cgi-bin/webmail/data/msgs/d/ddave/1117.1:
Permission denied at
/usr/home/cooee/html/cgi-bin/webmail/admin/Webmail/ParserLite.pm
line 917, <GEN0> chunk 20.
-----------------------------------------------

The mail is sent correctly..

but the "SentBox" copy returns this error

---------------------------------------------
Message has no body.

Please contact support and reference ID: 13

---------------------------------------------

I have checked all the permissions etc and believe I have it right.:) but am happy to be proved wrong...

Dave

Hi,

This is either an Ownership issue or a permissions issue.
The folders in data/msgs must be either 0777 or owned by the processes that write in them. The same goes for the folders below these. And all the files below these have to be either 0666 or owned by the process that writes to them.
If you can't fix this send me an email and I will have a look for you.

All fixed Scott..

I based the permissions on the original install log.. ( Changing to 777 did the trick.

Thanks for your help
