Catch All and Spam

Catch All and Spam
Hi, I plan to purchase GM this week and am doing some final research. My question is regarding the catch-all account. I understand the concept perfectly, but what happens when someone sends to a mailbox that neither exists on GM nor is a pop account within my system? I assume it is stored in the catch-all mailbox. What happens when this fills up and becomes a huge mess? As the catch-all fills up with people spamming the domain trying to find someone that doesn't exist, how would I go about cleaning that up? I wouldn't want to delete everything because I would be deleting GM messages.

Very curious about this one!

thanks,

marc

Hi,

Gossamer Mail will (optionally) bounce any messages that are not addressed to a valid Gossamer Mail user.

This means you should have a separate pop/alias for any system accounts, and assume everything else will goto the Gossamer Mail catchall. Anything that is not valid, is deleted and bounced.

Cheers,

Alex
