2.2 install question

2.2 install question
Hello, I have just completed an upgrade install from 2.1 to 2.2. According to the readme I should have been presented with the option to backup templates etc. This did not occur. After entering the admin path the install went ahead without asking if I would like to backup files. After the install it appears that the old templates have not been touched. Was this process skipped somehow? Do I need to reinstall to benefit from template changes? If I need to reinstall, what should I do different to avoid skipping the backup portion of install. I did not see any opportunity for such a choice.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob,

The backup option is no longer used (that should get removed from the readme). All the system templates are stored in:

data/templates/nessa/

and your customizations would be in:

data/templates/nessa/local/

The system first looks in local for a template, and if it can't find it, then tries a directory back. This way your template changes are preserved, and the system templates are in the main directory.

Hope this helps,

Alex
