How much of the system RAM does Links SQL need?

Depends on how large your directory is and the traffic you pull, and if you are running mod_php and mod_perl, etc.
A unix Sparc server can run well with 128 meg, better with 256 and unbelievably with 512. Intel/Unix should have 512 meg or more. Intel/Win ... Should probably disappear, but figure 512 minimum, 1gig if you can put it in, and more if you've got it. Windows doesn't manage memory very well at all. Windows programmers haven't cared about memory management, so windows code is bloted and generally inefficient.

How does mod_php affect LinksSQL performance or were you just talking in general?
