Admin Search Finds Nothing & Category Errors

Admin Search Finds Nothing & Category Errors
I've added a lot of categories into a new links site and am having a couple of problems.

1. All of the new catagories are showing in the user area, and can be found when searching in the user area, but the odd category is coming back with tbis error message...

- "Oops, we had the following problem: We don't seem to have a category by the name 'Business to Business/Build Construction Property/Building Trades/Painting/Painters Supplies/?d=1'"

...when you click to see the contents of that category.

I've checked in the pages directory and the category "Painters Supplies" does exist with the html inside it the same as the others. I can also find the category in the admin area with its category id and everything. I've tried deleting the directories and done several complete re-builds, I've reindexed too, but it's coming back with the same error message. One or two other categories are giving me the same error.

2. In the Admin section, if I search for various categories by the category name it returns no results - this is happening with a lot of them. If I go through the category list with "list all" it shows that they are in fact there, with id numbers and all. Their directories are also in the pages dir. When searching for them by id number they show up ok.

Does anybody know what I've stuffed up?

Thanks
Regan.

Thanks pugdog,

I turned off the dynamic page display and that stopped the 'cant find dir' errors. Not sure if I have just avoided a problem that does need to be fixed?

Unfortunately it didnt help the admin searches locate most of the directories I've entered when doing a find.

I've used some category names "in | this | format" - would that be causing any grief that you know of?

Thanks
REgan.
