stupid question coming....
Hi,
Im contemplating purchasing Links sql, but I've tried the example, and think that it no longer builds html pages like the non sql version of links, is this true?

I ask because in the past one of our clients had the non sql version and it got her into the top ten of most search engines on an variety of queries, because she had like 1500 catagories, and multitudes of pages within each one, so the search engines spidered her site, and grabbed up all those pages.

Does links sql build static html pages of links like the non sql version does?

Thanks,
Harrison

No...false. The script does build a set of static web pages. Yet there is a script included in Links SQL called page.cgi that produces dynamic content in terms of user permissions, sorting, etc.

Yes...and if you searched the forums a little more, you would've found threads that discuss "building" directories.

I would highly recommend reading the FAQs in the Links SQL FAQ web site that is linked in the Resource Center.
