PHP vs HTML
OK so the URL of my directory is:

http://www.loadmove.com

as you can see it is using HTML pages...

anyone has any idea how to convert everything to php and make it stay this way?

Looking forward hearing from you.

In the settings change .html to .php and you are done :)

Also, if you are uncomfertable, with this, then within your .htaccess file add following line
AddType application/x-httpd-php .html
and even though the pages will be using .html extension, you should be able to use php codes on .html pages without any problem.

Hope this helps.

  1. Login to Links SQL Admin View
  2. Click on Setup
  3. Click on Build Options
  4. Find build_index
  5. Change build_index settings to index.php
  6. Find build_extension (just below build index)
  7. Change build_extension settings to .php

You are done. :)

Hope this helps.

No you don't need to change anything in the template.

so what made you change your mind? cuz if I remember it correctly you were not wanting to change the site to .php before.. atleast when we talked on icq..

huston we have a problem!

Well bro, just being having the .php pages it won't make any difference, you will still have to do build all and other stuff..

If you are not wanting to do build all ever time, then your best option is to use dynamic mode and not static mode.

Hope this helps.

By clicking on "Dynamic" from the top menu.

Hey bro, I would highly encourage you to "READ" the manual, I am pretty sure it should take care of almost all your questions/doubts.

Using htaccess it is possible to run links sql in dynamic mode while making search bots etc think there are static pages, does away with building alltogether.

Hi,

I'm afraid you can't do this with PHP. However, using page.cgi, you can (search for mod_rewrite, and there are a ton of threads related to it, as well as globals for mod_rewrite detailed pages).

Hope that helps.
