very slow search in Links 2.99

very slow search in Links 2.99
I did a new install of the 2.99 so far so good except the search is so slow, can I change it from cookies to sql to improve the spped?

Much better now, I had to go to setp and search options to shcneg a few things and it is much better now, how dpo I post search logs on search page
