search engine friendly URLs
How do we configure the URLs to display a "- " (hyphen) instead of a " _" (underscore)?

For example:
http://www.hopeforyou.com/...nd_Safety/index.html " _"

http://www.hopeforyou.com/...nd-Safety/index.html "- " (preferred)
http://www.hopeforyou.com

I don't think so (never tried it, cos of the fact you would have to edit quite a lot of core codes to do it)

Cheers

This would be a great feature in a future version because some search engines prefer to read URLs with a "-" (hyphen).

If you're building static pages, the StaticURLtr plugin can do that for you.

How can the plugin be set replace more than one underscore within the same URL?

_:- seems to fix one instance, however if there is more than one underscore it seems to skip the others.

For example:
http://www.hopeforyou.com/...nce_Abuse/index.html
http://www.hopeforyou.com

You actually probably want " :-", not "_:-".

How do we restore the original URL structure if something goes wrong?

Changes to the configuration of the StaticURLtr plugin only affect the resulted built files, removing the plugin restores what files get written to.

Okay, is there a way to stop it from building extra pages?

Not sure what you mean by extra pages.

The system creates new pages that are affected by the plugin, so it appears this is normal... please disregard.
